Civil engineer Kurt Fredrich founded the sole proprietorship of Kurt Fredrich Beton-Bohrpfahlgründungen in Bremerhaven in 1957. In 1973, the Bremerhaven company B. Wübben & Co. Kommanditgesellschaft invests in shares. Alongside B. Wübben Bauunternehmung GmbH, Kurt Fredrich Spezialtiefbau GmbH acts as a subsidiary and independent manufacturing company. Horst Wübben becomes managing director. The focal points of Wübben are in industry and structural engineering. In 1991, a branch is opened near Schwerin with Fredrich Grundbau GmbH, which works onsite with its own personnel and equipment. In 2004, Thomas Lahrs takes over the management of the company.
1957: On 1st March 1957, civil engineer Kurt Fredrich founded the sole proprietorship “Kurt Fredrich Beton-Bohrpfahlgründungen” in Bremerhaven.
As a former branch manager of Lorenz Bau, NL Bremerhaven, he brought with him the special experience for this construction trade into his company and accomplished many civil works in Northern Germany using manual drilling.
1962: The field of work and operations was expanded throughout Germany with excavator pile drivers to include local concrete and precast pile foundations as well as constructive pile driving of sheet piling on land and water.
1964: The first fully-hydraulic piling system Delmag, GR 181 went into operation.
1969: Mr. Feldermann entered the company and continually expanded it. The Akermann caterpillar piling rig was implemented.
1973: The company was converted into a KG (limited partnership) and the Bremerhaven company B. Wübben + Co. took over shares from Mr. Fredrich.
1975: The first Hitachi KH 180 caterpillar piling and drilling rig was put into service, especially for large piling lengths.
1981: By relocating to the current headquarters in Loxstedt, Zur Siedewurt 2, the company was reorganised and continued to operate as Kurt Fredrich Spezialtiefbau GmbH.
1986: Mr. Kurt Fredrich died
1991: Opening of a branch in the new federal states of former East Germany in immediate proximity to Schwerin as Fredrich Grundbau GmbH with its own personnel and equipment.
2001: Our flagship, Hitachi CX 700 caterpillar rig, was used for extreme piling lengths up to 45.0 m in one length.
2003 / 2004: Mr. Herr Feldermann retired as the long-serving managing director, but continues to act as a consultant for the company.
2004: Mr. Lahrs took over the technical management and continues to stand for continuity for the companies in our group of companies.
